MILFORD — Students and staff at Delaware Valley High School brought in everything from cleaning supplies to dog food for O.S.C.A.R. (One Step Closer Animal Shelter), no-kill shelter in Andover, N.J.
In a contest, students were challenged to bring in either monetary donations or supplies. In total, students collected more than 300 supply items or donations.
The sophomore class won the competition, bringing in 237 items or donations. The class has bragging rights for the next year, with its name displayed on a wooden dog bone created by career tech students and teachers.
“We are so thankful to you, the school, and everyone involved,” said OSCAR employee Kyana Siepe. “This was fantastic. Thank you so much for all of your time and hard work.”
The collection was made during the weeks of April 24 and May 1.
