Lego Batman to be shown during Autism Awareness event

NEWTON — The Newton Theatre is holding its annual Autism Awareness and Fundraising event on Sunday, April 9.
There will be a showing of hit movie Lego Batman at 3 p.m. with a Super Hero party, beginning at 2 p.m., to kick it off. Tickets are on sale now.
This super adventure will begin an hour before the Lego Batman movie with a Super Hero party, including a live appearance from Batman and one of his “super” friends. Face painting and refreshments will be available. This event will benefit Autism related organizations.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble — LEGO Batman — stars in his own big screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Will Arnett stars as Batman; also starring Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Ralph Fiennes.
