Holiday parade spans two states

, N.Y. — The 46th annual Rick Drew Holiday Parade will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10, in Port Jervis, N.Y., and Matamoras, Pa.
Entry into the parade is free. The lineup starts at 1 p.m. The parade steps off at 2 p.m. on Canal Street om Port Jervis and proceeds into Matamoras to the firehouse.
All participants and spectators are invited to join the trophy ceremony with Santa afterward, complete with hot chocolate and donuts, at the Matamoras Firehouse in Airport Park.
The parade is hosted by the Tri-State Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors are the City of Port Jervis, the Borough of Matamoras, Bon Secours Community Hospital, and Orange & Rockland.
The grand marshalTom McCarron is grand marshal of the parade. He is being honored for his numerous contributions as the parade chair since 2001 and his decades of service to the chamber and local communities. He currently serves as a director emeriti and has been a board member for more than 20 years, serving as president, vice president and chairman of various committees. He was a Port Jervis councilman for 10 years.
During his long career in banking he managed several banks in Port Jervis, Orange and Sullivan counties. He is a member of the Calvary Chapel of Milford. He lives in Port Jervis with his wife of over 40 years, Elise. Tom and Elise have four daughters and nine grandchildren.
“The Tri-State Chamber is thrilled to honor Tom as parade grand marshal, and we hope that everyone will come out to celebrate with us during the parade," said Charlene Trotter, Executive Director. "Tom and his family will lead the Parade in a convertible and will be at the reviewing stand on Pennsylvania Avenue in Matamoras to enjoy all the participants as they pass by."
