Feel Better Pops created in Vernon

It all began with a little boy with a tummy ache. As a nutritionist and a chef, Marisa Teiner decided to make her son Chace, already a frozen fruit pop connoisseur, something that would cool his throat, hydrate him and soothe that upset stomach with only super fruits and herbs.
Launched in the summer of 2017, Teiner, after working with food scientists at the Rutgers University Center and Penn State, perfected a totally natural, no artificial colors, dyes or parabens and certainly no GMO ingredients, then created a frozen pop called the Feel Better Pop.
According to Teiner and business partner and friend Tracy Nelson, every ingredient is chosen not only for taste but also for functionality and low allergen risk. The pops are loaded with refreshing fruit, delicious coconut water and are naturally sweetened with honey and pure cane sugar and contain Ganeden BC 30 Probiotic to support immune systems and digestive health.
Some of the irresistible pop flavors are Mangolicious, Pineapple Banana Smoothie, Apple Pie and Simply Peach. They are currently available at eight locations, locally at Healthy Thymes Market in Vernon, Green Life Market in Newton, the Apple Valley Pharmacy in Warwick, N.Y., and Andover Apothecary in Andover.
A 1993 graduate of Vernon Township High School, Teiner hopes to grow her business production, getting colleges, senior centers and hospitals on board and interested in her product, possibly even getting the attention of national pharmacies and possibly Whole Foods.
“Our mission is to produce a product that tastes good and is good for you,” Teiner stressed.
Teiner is currently researching and working on a Feel Better Throat Soother Pop that is due out soon.
