    Leonard L. Talmadge, Sr., age 69, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Hardyston to the late Seeley and Myrtle (Shauger) Talmadge, he had lived in Sussex County all of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Talmadge was employed as a blaster at the Riverdale Quarry and retired 7 years ago. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing, and loved going to races at Mocatek Speedway. Mr. Talmadge is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue Ann (Stevenfield); his son, Leonard L., Jr. of Crystal River, Florida; his daughter, Tina Talmadge of Gainsville, Florida; his step-son, John Stoltz and his wife Amy of Middletown, New York; his sister, Becky Hough of Wantage; and his four grandchildren, Owen, Aiden, Madison, and Audrey. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at the Sussex Fire Department, 25 Loomis Avenue, Sussex.
