Hardyston Middle School hosts annual tournament

The 34th annual Hardyston Middle school invitational basketball tournament was concluded on Feb. 12.

For the boys' Sussex-Wantage won the tournament and Andover Long Pond School was second. Green Hills finished third and Glen Meadow School of Vernon was fourth place.

Luke Steinmon, Jason Maikis, John VanEss, Chase Kramer and Mike Stefkouiche were named to the all-tournament team. Joe Lombardi was the MVP.

In the girls' portion of the tourament, Lafayette won first place and second-place team was Frankford. Kittatinny finished third and Byram Intermediate was fourth.

Emma Valiante, Kelly Lugalaco, Kate Finnegan, Trisha Peterson and Emily Mulvoy. Margo Peterson was the MVP.
