The Vernon Camera Club will host Rob Haley of Highland Lakes at its meeting on April 1.

Haley is an award-winning cinematographer and established still photographer with more than 25 years of experience covering a wide range of imaging formats and styles.

Samples of Haley’s still photography is arranged in some 15 photo galleries that can be found at www.RobHaleyPhoto.com. Haley is a recurring featured artist at the annual Highland Lakes Professional Art Show each summer and was an adjunct professor at the New School University in New York City.

The presentation, which is still in the planning stages, will be centered on the theme “Self Portrait.” It is open to the public and will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Vernon Senior Center, located at the rear of the Vernon Township Municipal Building on Church Street in downtown Vernon. Haley will talk about a variety of camera and composition techniques for capturing great pictures and improving photographic skills.

The Vernon Camera Club is now entering its second year with about 25 regular members of varied levels of experience and expertise ranging from beginners to advanced photographers. The club meets the first Tuesday of each month and is always looking to add new members. Each month the group offers a different guest speaker.
