The Sussex County YMCA will host an open house at Blue Mountain Day Camp on Sunday April 13 from 2-4 p.m.

There will be another on Sunday, May 4, from 2-4 p.m. at Fairview Lake YMCA.

Blue Mountain Day Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and is licensed by the state of New Jersey, located on the shores of Fairview Lake in Newton.

"My hope is that the parents who attend the open house will leave feeling excited about sending their children to summer camp at Blue Mountain Day Camp, and confident that their children will have a great summer experience there," said Jennifer Gardner, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA.

This unique camp offers all the amenities of a sleep-away camp in a convenient day camp format. Packed with age-appropriate activities and experiences, campers are grouped together by grade for activities such as team- building exercises, games and sports. Campers discover new interests by exploring activities that focus on building self-esteem, confidence and social skills while increasing independence and health and wellness awareness. Transportation to Blue Mountain Day Camp is available from several towns in Sussex County.
