Vernon High School thespians earn high honors

Vernon Township High School students recently received top raiting of Accomplished in 15 categories.

The honor means the students are able to compete in the International Festival in Lincoln, Neb.

The awards are as follows:
Second Place Chapter Select — "Babel in Arms" with Kyle Pitts, Roger Hernandez, Christina O'Brien, Deidra Lohwin and Dylan VonderLinden.

First Place Best Actor — Kyle Pitts

First Place Technical Olympics — Vernon Tech Team of Eric Weber, Janis Beltran, Cassie Roeloffs, Sabrina Bliese and Allison Malatesta.

First Place in Set Change in Tech Olympics — Vernon's Tech Olympic Team

Group Musical Theatre Accomplished Medal — Kyle Pitts, Brooke Harrsch and Ethan Kimball

Improvisational Pairs Accomplished Medal — Victoria Marchesani and Ethan Kimball

Improvisational Pairs Accomplished Medal — Steven Lohwin and Skylar Salamone

Mime Pairs Accomplished Medal — Brooke Harrsch and Roger Hernandez

Mime Pairs Accomplished Medal — Shaelyn Zimmerman and Emily Kruger
