Last Saturday hundreds of hoping to be healthy kids and their parents came out for the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day.

The activities for the day included playing lacrosse, catch, story time, wiggle worm fun, a Raymond Ayers Music Concert, judo demonstrations and various crafts. A family swim period was also available to help forget about the now-distancing winter months. Outside was a bounce house as well as a beanbag toss courtesy of Clear Channel Radio Station. Fresh vegetables were available in the Y’s lobby. Additional activities included making slime creations, face painting, and tie-dye lessons.

Later in the afternoon a bike raffle was held courtesy of Sodexo. Additional support was provided by Eastern Propane, Fairview Lake YMCA, Hardyston Police Department, Blue Mountain Camp, Norwescap, Girl Scouts, Sussex County Resource Family Recruiter, Newton Medical Center, Division of Child Protection & Permanency, Sussex County Health Department, Sussex Christian School PRCA Rodeo, Andersen Farms, and an appearance by Miss Rodeo New Jersey Amada Thompson.
