Library group plans book scholarship

VERNON — Applications are available for the Steven L. Steele Memorial Book Scholarship, which is sponsored by the Friends of he Dorothy E. Memorial Branch in the town.
The application can be picked up at the library and the scholarship is open to college-bound seniors from Vernon, Hardyston, Hamburg and Franklin.
The scholarship award of $750 will be depositied in the bookstore of the recipient's college during July. Completed applications must be returned to the library by May 19.
