    Joseph Johnson and Derek Newberry, both of Sussex Borough and Meghan Decoite of Vernon were named to the president's list for the winter 2014 quarter at Berkely University.

    Berkeley College students who achieve a grade point average of 4.00 with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the President’s List.

    Crystal Card and Nicole Nyul, both of Highland Lakes, Brittany Labelle, Heather O'Brien and Jennifer Ruchalski, all of Sussex Borough, and Brianna Buttell and Christine Peraino, both of Vernon were named to the dean's list at Berkeley College.

    Students who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or better with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the Dean’s List.

    Jenna Harper of Glenwood has been elected to serve as treasurer in Alvernia University's Student Government Assocation for 2014-15.

    Harper is an occupational therapy major at Alvernia.

    The Student Government Association (SGA) provides an opportunity for individual leadership and development while also determining, in cooperation with the administration and faculty, suitable standards for university and community life.

    Kelley C. Schneider and Deanna M. Tornatore, both of Highland Lakes have been named to the dean's list at Northeastern University.

    To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

    Kristin ZuHone of Highland Lakes recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a summa cum laude GPA and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in French.

    She was a recipient of the Ben Franklin Scholar award and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

    Samuel Gersie of Sussex Borough and Christopher Grieg of Vernon were awarded bachelor's degrees during the University of Vermon's Commencement ceremonies on May 18.

    Gersie earned a degree in environmental sciences and Grieg earned a degree in biology.

    Travis R. Stutzer of Highland Lakes received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biolgy from Clark University on Sunday, May 18.
