The Vernon Township Police Dept.'s newest police officer, Patrolwoman Miranda Meador graduated Tuesday from the Morris County Police Academy at Birchwood Manor in Hanover.

Meador is a 23-year-old township resident, who was previously employed by the Sussex County Sheriff's Office. She is an active member of the New Jersey National Guard/Military Police and a graduate of Passaic County Community College.
