Members of the Sussex-Wantage Regional School District Board of Education discussed the status of the air conditioning in the school's buildings.

Board of Education member asked if part of the updates to the schools would be improvements in the auditorium, such as the air conditioning.

Superintendent Jeanne Apryasz said the subject had come up because "classrooms are unbearable."

School board member Lori Frisbie said that “if there is any wavering, just go down to the music concert tonight” to the spring concert, which was held on May 28.

Maikis said a factory included air conditioning, which also is designed to purify the air. In the end, the air conditioning reduced absenteeism.

School board member Walter Krynicky pointed out that college educated employees are typically in air conditioned buildings. However, schools have no air conditioning although they are an educational environment, with college educated employees.
