Robin Zander, lead vocalist and frontman of the seminal band "Cheap Trick," brings his energetic, infectious stage presence to the Newton Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m.

He picked Larry Hobbs of The Juice to play bass, and long time friend and drummer Steve Luongo, who has performed or recorded with John Entwistle, The Who, members of AC/DC, Todd Rundgren and Leslie West/Mountain and more.

"We just want to go out and have a ball and who knows what special guests might just show up on stage," Zander says.

Zander has sold millions of albums and played large-scale venues the world over with "Cheap Trick," who’s top selling album “at Budokan” is a rock fan’s staple and hit songs include "I Want You To Want Me," "Surrender," "Dream Police" and "Ain’t That A Shame."
