The Sussex Borough Council prioritized capital improvement projects on June 10 by drafting an ordinance to pay for five projects that will use $145,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund.

The five projects will: upgrade water pipe, upgrade sanitary/sewer, add video sewer lines within the Rte. 23 Project, include water main extensions into the Rte. 23 bridge design and improve valves and actuators at the Water Treatment Plant.

Valve actuators are mechanical devices that move or control the valves.

The Council also decided to prepare a bond ordinance for $700,000. The bond would be used for various other water and sewer improvements within the Rte. 23 Project.
