Vernon Woman's Club gives scholarships

The GFWC Vernon Township Woman's Club recently handed out its 2014 community service scholarships.

Each year, the club presents two local high school students with $500 scholarships which can be applied toward their college education expenses. This year's recipients are both recent graduates of Vernon Township High School. Judy Filippini, Woman’s Club president, center, presented the awards at the high school’s Senior Awards Ceremony to Jinan Andres, who will be attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Morgan Perich, who will attend the University of Rhode Island.
