Police: Bus driver left children unattended on bus

    A bus driver faces chargers after Vernon Township police said she left two special needs children unattended on a school bus on Wednesday, July 23.

    Kimberly Moumblow, 47 of Highland Lakes was charged with abuse/abandonment/cruelty/neglect of a child, a fourth-degree crime, along with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and failure to report an accident.

    Police said an investigation by the Detective Bureau and the Sussex County Prosecutor's office determined the children were left unattended on the bus for 45 minutes. Police said the bus was not running and the doors were closed at the time of the incident. Police also said it was determined that while attempting to park the school bus on the owner's proprety, Moumblow allegedly backed the bus into the house.
