The Northwest New Jersey Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans held a contest for kids, ages 3 to 18.

The theme of the contest was, “If you could start an organization to help people, what would it be and how would you help?”

first-place winner was Clayton Duryea and the second-place winner was Sam Dupont. Third-place winner was Meghan Emmerich. All three children were members of Holy Counselor Lutheran Church in Vernon.
