What does Crystal Springs do for Vernon?

As small and simple people as myself and my wife who have lived here more than a decade, I have nothing really good to say about Mountain Creek, Action Park, Crystal Springs, KITES, the spa, etc. Yes they are great if you have a lot of money to spend as a visitor golfing or from another state or country. And yes, the par is fun. But as they continue to expand and promise money, one thing we are all forgetting to impress on them, is they pave the road a short distance. Taxes to Vernon are for their property. They overcharge their homeowners, they give nothing back to the residents, and yet they use our town services constantly. The landowners and lawyers make money because they charge so much to represent Vernon that it doesnt matter. I would like to see how many Vernon residents actually work in nice-paying positions. I'd like to see how many of our residents applied or work there vs. how many they out-of-state employees they hired. Why cant they give Vernon a 20 percent discount on all things, spa, slopes, water park, meals, golf? I am not the only one who feels this way and be assured I will and can rally a lot of people to attend a meeting to say NAY.
