Ride for Rescue planned in Sussex County

The NJHC Foundation will hold a trail ride in Kittatinny Valley State Park on the rail trails on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and the beneficiary will be Rivers Edge Equine Rescue and Sanctuary, located in Sussex County. The ride will begin and end at the Chatterbox Restaurant's overflow parking field at the corner of Routes 206 and 15.

Rivers Edge cares for 20 horses for as long as they need a home.

Those unable to ride but wish to support NJHC's rescue efforts, send a donation to: NJHC Foundation 131, Somerset Terrace Bedminster, NJ 07921 with Horse Rescue in the memo line.
