A new Ford utility police interceptor vehicle will be purchased for the Vernon Township Building Department.

While the vehicle is a police model, it will not be outfitted as a police vehicle.

“We made a decision that we will standardize vehicles used in Vernon Township.” Mayor Victor Marotta in his report to the Town Council said.

Marotta said all purchases of township vehicles will be the same model.

The Building Department has been in need of the new vehicle and with this purchase the township can begin to standardize their fleet.
