Salon FIG moves to bigger quarters

Salon FIG has moved down the Sparta side of Spring Street to bigger quarters at 274 Spring Street, Newton in Station House Plaza. Owned by Colleen Guber-Decker, of Andover, the salon is free from the poignant smell of ammonia during hair processing because it is the only 100 percent organic salon in Sussex County.

“Though we had recently done renovations at our old location, we had been searching for over a year for a bigger space so we could designate a room for all natural manicures and pedicures and add facials, massage and reflexology,” Guber-Decker said.

They opened the new location on July 14. Her husband spent countless hours painting and prepping the new quarters, even painting fig trees on the fresh, tangerine-colored walls to lend a special touch.

Call 973-300-Hair (4247) or visit www.salonfig.com. A grand re-opening will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 with lots of goodies and give-aways.
