Road improvements to begin in Vernon

VERNON — Contracts have been awarded for the slated Breakneck Road improvements. B

ids were opened in October for qualified contractors and reviewed by Township Engineer Corey Stoner. Phase one consists of guardrail repairs, drainage improvements and the installation of raised pavement markers. The guardrail project will be awarded to M.L. Ruberton Construction, Co. Inc. of Hammonton, N.J., and Zone Stripping Inc. of Glassboro, N.J., will be awarded the contract for the raised pavement markers.

The project is intended to improve drainage and visibility along Breakneck Road.
