Cub Scouts in Pack 84 celebrated the 105th anniversary of Scouting at ITS annual Blue and Gold banquet on Feb. 22 and welcomed four new Boy Scouts.

Blue and Gold banquets are the highlight of the year for most packs and bring families together for an event full of fun and entertainment as well as recognizing the advancement of Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Cubmaster Robert Weiss, and Assistant Cub Master Brian Bell had the honor of facilitating the crossing over of four members of Pack 84 into Troop 84 as Boy Scouts. These scouts had earned their Arrow of Light rank which is the highest rank in Cub Scouts, which prepares a Webelos Scouts to become a Boy Scout. Cub Scouts advance through the ranks of Bobcat, Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear and Webelos before earning their Arrow of Light.

Scouting offers boys many fun and challenging events while teaching valuable skills. Cub Scouts are open to boys ages 7 to 10 years of age. Any boy between the ages of 11 and 17 is welcome to join Boy Scouts, no prior experience required.
