Lauren Gangemi of Sussex was named to the dean's list at LIM College for the spring 2015 semester.

To be placed on the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.79.

John Torppey of Sussex Borough was named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester.

To earn dean's list honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Jenna Harper of Glenwood has been named a student ambassador at Alvernia University for the 2015-16 semester.

A graduate of Vernon Township High School, Harper is majoring in Occupational Therapy at Alvernia.

The Student Ambassadors Program was founded to educate prospective students and their parents about Alvernia University, from both the academic and social perspectives. Student Ambassadors actively participate in campus events, generate student involvement, and serve as a network for other activities and organizations on campus.

The program is highly competitive, and requires interested students to submit an essay, two letters of recommendation, and complete professional interviews.

Emily Notaro of Sussex Bborough has received a transfer merit scholarship and Destination Oswego scholarship as a new transfer student at SUNY Oswego.

Notaro reserved a place for the fall semester at Oswego, majoring in accounting. She last studied at Sussex County Community College, and was scheduled to begin classes Aug. 24 at Oswego.
