Lusscroft Farm photo contest seeking entries

    The Lusscroft Farm Annual Photography Competition is underway and is open to photographers of all ages and skill levels, inside or outside of Sussex County.

    The categories for this year are: Nature/Landscape, Still Life, Animals (domestic), Architecture, People, and General. Entries will be on display at the Lusscroft Farm Holiday Open House on Dec. 5 and 6, and entrants have the option to offer their photos for sale during the event.

    Contest awards, details, and entry forms are available online at LusscroftFarmorg and "Friends of Lusscroft Farm" on Facebook. They are also available at the following locations: Helricks Picture Framing on Rt. 15 in Dover; Hamburg Plumbing Supply on Rt. 23 in Hamburg; Sussex County Arts & Heritage on Spring Street in Newton; and Photographs in the Theatre Center in Sparta. This year's judge is photographer, designer, and writer Paul Michael Kane.

    Contest proceeds go to ongoing restoration efforts at historic Lusscroft Farm, 50 Neilson Road, Wantage, which is affiliated with High Point State Park. The deadline for entries is Oct. 31.
