Skylands Stadium to host Beer Fest

    Skylands Stadium will be hold its first Skylands Stadium Beer Fest, Saturday, Oct. 3 from noon to 6 p.m., featuring more than 40 artisanal craft beers from around the U.S., paired with American pub-style food from Wheelhouse, Skyland Stadium’s new on-site restaurant.

    The Skylands Stadium Beer Fest, to be held in the stadium’s outdoor Pavilion and on the baseball field, will feature music as well as fun events for children, including games, contests, prizes, a bounce house and face painting. While mom and dad are beer-tasting, kids can try their hand at running the bases on the Sussex County Miners baseball field.

    Paired with the craft beers will be a wide array of American pub-style food. Krave Events, the stadium’s exclusive in-house caterer and proprietors of Wheelhouse, use beer to prepare some mouth-watering Fall dishes, such as Pumpkin Pale Ale Soup, Venison Porter Chili, Grilled Bratwurst and Oktoberfest Red Cabbage Slaw. Also on offer will be Sticky Bourbon Chicken Wings, Beer Braised Pulled Pork Sandwich, Berkshire Pork Mac & Cheese and Game Jerky.

    For dessert will be Bacon-Chocolate Stout Brownies, Apple Pie Cider Crisp and Coffee Stout Cakes. When festival attendees aren’t sampling beer, they can try Wheelhouse’s delicious apple cider and pumpkin coffee.

    The Skylands Stadium Beer Fest entry price for adults is $25, which includes admission to the festival and 15 drink vouchers (additional vouchers will be available for purchase). A photo ID is required. The price of entry for those under age 21, and for those adults who will not be beer-tasting, is $5. Pub-style food will be available for purchase on a cash-and-carry basis. Parking is free all day.
