The second stop of the 2015 Eastern Enduro Triple Crown Series will head to Mountain Creek Bike Park in Vernon this weekend for the King of the Mountain Enduro.

Race day will be Sunday, Oct. 4, starting at 10 a.m.

Now in its fourth year, this year’s King of the Mountain promises to be the biggest and best one yet. With racer entries being capped at 250 participants racers are encouraged to register prior to the pre-registration cut-off deadline at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to ensure their spot in the starting gates.

Both the Pro and Amateur racers will get to test themselves against all 5 timed stages over Mountain Creek’s world-renowned rocky terrain.

“The sport of Enduro has been evolving since we first launched the King of the Mountain in 2012," said Marc Tremain, bike park operations manager. "It really is amazing what these competitors are tackling on their ‘light’ bikes, an after last year’s race a lot of the amateurs commented to us about how they wanted to race all the stages. So, this year we’re giving the racers what they want and everyone will get their chance to run all the stages.

Also new for this year, the Triple Crown Series has added a 14-and younger category to give their youngest racers a better competitive experience.

Racers should expect courses that will use all the great technical terrain that Mountain Creek has to offer from the existing downhill and cross-country trails, to new terrain previously not open for biking.
