Reader endorses Kadish, Ooms

I am endorsing Dan Kadish and Sandy Ooms for Vernon Town Council.

Dan Kadish has proven himself many times over at town council meetings. In spite of some negative attacks against him he doesn’t seek reprisal, as so many others in the political arena have a tendency to do, nor has he ever been a self-serving individual. Dan Kadish is a genuine, trustworthy person.

Sandy Ooms is a newcomer on the political scene. Sandy is one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life and will always respond to the needs of others, because she truly cares. She is also extremely intelligent. It was Sandy Ooms who placed the town council meetings on the internet. If it weren’t for her, this still would not have been done.

I believe both of the above candidates are uniquely qualified to provide the leadership that we need in Vernon. Anyone who knows me will realize that I would only support those contenders who have values and good judgment. I feel that they are the best and only choices for our town.

Don’t let yourselves be fooled by the lies, criticisms, rude rants, uninformed insults and name-calling that keeps appearing in the newspapers and on online sites. This only shows that what comes out of these opponent’s mouths comes out of their hearts, which have become tarnished with hatred and retribution. As citizens, we must speak up for all those who are unjustly being criticized and its imperative we also speak out against this disrespectful behavior. I believe this is our God-given duty.

I will vote for Sandy Ooms and Dan Kadish on Nov. 3, 2015. I hope that everyone in Vernon will do likewise. Thank you.
