John Curley

John “John Joe” Curley, 67 years old, died after a short illness at Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015. Born to Martin and Margaret Curley in Clifton, County Galway, Ireland, he has lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. for many years.

John Jo worked as a structural ironworker for Ironworkers International Local 40 in NYC, N.Y., for many years retiring in 2013. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the Galway Races every year.

John Jo is predeceased by his sister, Carmel Meier (2013) and is the dear brother of Mary Mustafa of England, Rita Doonan of Glenwood, N.J., Theresa Curley of Dublin, Ireland, Bridie Fogelmann of Paris, France, Patrick Curley of London, England, Una Curley of Sydney, Australia and Martin G. Curley of London, England. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
