VERNON — For the second time since the change of government in 2011, Vernon Township voters will elect their mayor.
Incumbent Mayor Victor Marotta will face challenges from former Deputy Mayor and Councilman Harry Shortway and Nordic House owner Gary Martinsen.
The mayoral race originally featured four competitors, but former Mayor and Councilwoman Sally Rinker withdrew from the race in early September.
Marotta did not respond to requests for information.
