Voice your opinion on Nov. 3

If you really want to make a difference in Vernon, voice your opinion on November 3.

I advise everyone to google the Skylands Victory Pac. You will be amazed. When a person has these Pac’s giving them money, they will want something in return. This is politics.

I believe we need a mayor in this town who is there for all the people. Everyone should be treated equally without favoritism shown. We need this community to finally be united. I believe the right person in office might be able to get our town on a solid foundation once again with people working with one another for the common good.

We all owe the VFW a debt of gratitude for their service and dedication to our country. The will of the people was overrun by our elected officials. Since they refuse to change their hearts, “we the people” need to give them a strong message at the ballot box that we won’t tolerate their actions any longer. Let’s put the power back where it belongs, in the hands of the people.

Everyone has the right to bring their views to the public square. No one can declare himself the umpire. Elected officials need to stop making promises they can’t keep. They need to be listening to what the people are saying. If they don’t, elections have consequences.

I will be voting for Sandra Ooms and Dan Kadish for town council and Harry Shortway for mayor.

We can affect people positively, negatively or not at all. The power is in our hands to make the right choice for now and for future generations. I believe in the power of God and in the human spirit; I believe that the people in this town and country will do the right thing; I believe that we will prevail. Change is coming, it’s inevitable and it’s needed.
