    Oct. 20David Truitt, 35, of Vernon was indicted on charges of possessing a radio capable of receiving transmission from police, fire or emergency communication system, a fourth-degree crime.

    He also was indicted on charges of violation of conditions of a special sentenced of community supervision for life, specifically general condition A(3), B(1) and B(2), a third-degree crime.

    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Oct. 26Jacqueline Thompson, 24, of Franklin pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and fourth-degree defrauding a drug test.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 11.

    When reporting to court-ordered probation the defendant was found to have concealed on her body a shampoo bottle containing a liquid she planned to use to defraud her urine test. In August, Franklin police were investigating a shoplifting incident involving the defendant. During the investigation they found her to be in possession of heroin.

    Frank J. Deriancho, 32, of Stanhope pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, a third-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 4.

    Deriancho admitted that on July 2, he used physical force to resist his arrest by Stanhope Police Department Sgt. R. Hickman and assisting officers.

    Alexandra J. Coroneos, 29, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to credit-card theft, a fourth-degree crime, and fraudulent use of a credit card, a third-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 11.

    She took three separate credit cards from an individual and between July 31, and Aug. 30, made charges to each in amounts totaling $2,994.

    Oct. 29David Andrejack, 48, of Newton was sentenced to a 5-year term, credit for 297 days time served in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility. He also was ordered to register under Megan's Law.

    He pleaded guilty on June 30 to one count of sexual assault, a second-degree crime.

    Oct. 30Robert Hontz, 23, of Newton was sentenced to 2 years of probation with credit for 232 days served in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility.

    He also must have no contact with the victim, take all medications, obtain a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations, and pay all court penalties.

    He pleaded guilty on Aug. 17 to fourth-degree bias intimidation.

    While the defendant was being examined by a physician at Newton Hospital, he called the doctor several racial slurs. When he apologized to the physician, he extended his hand and then head-butted him.

    Amanda Farr, 29, of Kinnelon was sentenced to one year of probation on condition that she pay $700 in restitution to the victim, complete 10 hours of community service and she cannot return to Minerals Resort.

    She also must pay the mandatory court fines and fees.

    The defendant pleaded guilty on Aug. 20, 2015, to third-degree theft and fourth-degree theft of a credit card.

    In June, the defendant burglarized the victim’s room at the Minerals Resort taking his wallet, phone and other items. She then used the victim’s credit card at Burger King and Lukoil Gas Station in Vernon.

    Nov. 5Josephine M. Shipps, 45, of Bellvidere was sentenced to a suspended term of three years in state prison and five years of probation.

    She also must remain medication compliant, pay $2,517 restitution to the victim and pay $155 in court fines and fees.

    She pleaded guilty on May 18 to third-degree issuing a bad check.

    In 2014, the defendant issued a check to purchase a vehicle from a private citizen, knowing the check would not be honored.
