    Nov. 6Robert Tucker, 20, of North Caldwell was sentenced to 2 years of probation with the condition of 30 days SLAP. He must submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations. He was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $620 and pay total fines and penalties of $155.

    He pleaded guilty on Aug. 27, to theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree crime.

    While the victim was giving the defendant a ride from Caldwell to Hopatcong, he saw she had cash in her wallet when she had it out. After the victim dropped Tucker off, he texted her and asked her to return because he forgot something in her car. When she returned, he grabbed her purse and took between $500 and $600 cash when she wasn’t looking and then ran off into the woods.

    Joseph Hnyda, 54, of Franklin was sentenced to 180 days of mandatory incarceration.

    He pleaded guilty on Sept. 21, to operating a motor vehicle during his second Subsequent DWI, license suspension, a crime of the fourth degree.

    On or about Nov. 9, 2014, Hnyda operated a motor vehicle while suspended for a second or subsequent violation, specifically by driving a motor vehicle during a period of suspension attributable to a second conviction for DWI.

    Nov. 9Leah McPeak, 23, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on a law-enforcement officer, a fourth-degree crime, resisting arest, a disorderly persons offense and disorderly conduct, a petty disorderly persons offense.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 15.

    On Dec. 12, 2014, members of the Hopatcong Police Dept. responded for a disturbance involving the defendant. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that she refused to comply with officers’ efforts to stop the disturbance and then physically resisted arrest. The defendant also admitted kicking an officer in his leg and chest area.

    Jacob Lozaw, 19, of Sussex Borough pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, a third-degree crime, making terroristic threats, a third-degree crime, and providing alcohol to an underage person, a disoerderly persons offense.

    Sentencing sis scheduled for Jan. 15.

    On Dec. 21, 2014, members of the New Jersey State Police responded to the report of an underage person being intoxicated at a residence in the borough of Sussex. In pleading guilty, Lozaw admitted providing alcohol to the minor, physically and violently resisting arrest, and threatening to murder the responding troopers and their families.

    Nov. 13Morgan Ivory, 32, of Franklin was sentenced to 7 years in state prison, 85 percent of which she must serve before being eligible for parole. She received credit for all time she has already served and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $14,000, as well as all mandatory minimum fees and fines.

    Ivory pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree armed robbery of an indictment handed up on Oct. 23, 2014. Ivory admitted her participation in the robbery committed in December 2013 in Green Township with 5 co-defendants. This matter was investigated by the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police with assistance from the FBI.

    Michael Johnson, 22, of North Brunswick was sentenced to 7 years in state prison, 85 percent of which must be served being before being eligible for parole. He received credit for all time he has already served and was ordered to pay all mandatory minimum fees and fines and restitution in the amount of $14,000.

    Elizabeth Cooper, 22, of Princeton was sentenced to 5 years in state prison, 85 percent of which she must serve before being eligible for parole. She received credit for all time he has already served and was ordered to pay all mandatory minimum fees and fines and restitution of $14,000.

    Cooper pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree armed robbery of an indictment handed up on Oct. 23, 2014.
