Vernon girls' lacrosse team hopes to break world record

| 20 Nov 2015 | 04:02

The Vernon girls' lacrosse team will attempt to set the world recod for the most people dancing to Silento's song, "Watch Me," otherwise known as the Whip/Nae dance at Maple Grange Park at Maple Grange Park on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m.

Participants are asked to arrive at 10 a.m. The rain date will be Sunday, Nov. 29.

This fundraiser will benefit the Vernon Lady Vikes lacrosse team. The team asks that each participant provides a cash donation to support the team and be part of this historic event.

This event is open to all age groups and to people from Vernon and beyond.

The dance will be taught prior to our attempt, and you can always follow along with our dance leaders.

In order to validate our world-record breaking attempt, participants agree to be videotaped as evidence of our accomplishment.
