Special Olympics meet planned in Hanover

    The Area 3 Special Olympics Bowling Meet will take place on Saturday, Jan. 23, all day, beginning at 9 a.m., at Hanover Lanes, Route 10 East, in East Hanover. The event is free and open to the public.

    The Special Olympics Bowling Meet will showcase the bowling skills of Special Olympics athletes from Morris, Sussex & Warren counties.

    Special Olympics is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that offers sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation and other closely related developmental disabilities. The Olympic-style competition helps athletes develop strength, coordination and athletic skills as they compete and achieve success.
