    Mark Friedman, 54, of Andover was indicted on charges of possession of a weapon, namely a phone, under circumstances not manifestly appropriate for lawful use, specifically by striking M.F. in the head about 8-10 times causing injury, a fourth-degree crime.

    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Torey Posey, 37, of Montague was indicted on one count of making terroristic threats, a crime of the third degree. He also was indicted on a charge of a violation of the provisions of a Final Restraining Order entered under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, a crime of the third degree.

    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Richard Rich, 47, of Sussex was indicted on a charge of having previously convicted of a sex offense requiring imposition of Community Service for life with one count of vioilation of special conditions restricting his access to the Intenet and possessing Internet-capable devices, a crime of the third degree. Rich also was charged with endangering welfare of a child, a crime of the third degree.

    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Melissa Collins, 29, of Montague was indicted ona charge of violation of a temporary restraining order, entered unde the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act, a fourth-degree crime.

    James Conklin, 35, of Newton was indicted on charges of having been convicted of a sex offense, with one count of violation of General Condition A(12) of Community Supervision for LIfe, one count of violation of General Condition A(5) of Community Supervision for Life, one count of violation of General Condition of A(6) of Community Supervision for Life and one count of absconding from parole, a third-degree crime.

    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Troy McKinney, 46, of Frankford with three counts of illegal possession of firearms, having been convicted of distribution of a narcotic drug, crimes of the second degree.

    The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L. Nazzaro. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next several weeks.

    Jan. 14
    Steve Liptak, 63, of Princeton was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correction Facility. He was ordered to pay fines of $155.

    He pleaded guilty on June 22, to driving during a Second/Subsequent DWI license suspension, a fourth-degree crime.

    He was found to be driving with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop for maintenance of lamps on March 22, in Sandyston.

    Jan. 19
    Jodi Galileo, 36, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous subsgtance, a third-degre crime, and the motor vehicle offense of failure to maintain lane.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 4.

    On Oct. 27, 2015, police made a motor vehicle stop of the defendant for failing to maintain her lane. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to having in her possession 10 wax folds of heroin and an unlabeled pill bottle containing eight Xanax (Alprazolam) and five Hydrocodone pills.

    Dean J. Sugar, 33, of Ogdensburg pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime, driving with a suspended license, a fourth-degree crime, and the motor vehicle offense of driving while intoxicated.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 19.

    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on Nov. 6, 2015, he drove while under the influence of alcohol and heroin and while his license was suspended for a second conviction of driving while intoxicated.

    The case was investigated by Patrolman Babcock of the Franklin Police Department.
