Violet Mary Vreeland

Violet Mary Vreeland, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at the Brakeley Park Center in Phillipsburg after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Wantage Township, Violet was a loving and dedicated housewife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Emma Breen; her brother, Bill; and her sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Norman, Sr.; her children, Jo Ann Zajac and her husband, Robert, of Wantage; Kathy Coyne and her partner, Lenny Bolognini, of Milford, Del.; Theresa Mitchell of Fayetteville, Tenn.;, Norman Vreeland, Jr., and his wife, Kristine of Inverness, Fla.; Thomas Vreeland and his wife, Janice, of Coral Springs, Fla; and Connie Hartman and her husband, Eddy Patient, of Belvidere; her grandchildren, Kenny, Kim, Michael, Jennifer A., Brian, Jennifer B., Krysti, David, Alex, and Melanie; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and one expecting great great granddaughter; her sister, Janet Dutko of Sussex; her brothers, Franklin Breen of Florida, N.Y.; Paul Breen of Sussex; Bob Breen of Sussex; and Don Breen of Milford, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Violet's memory to the Buttzville United Methodist Church, 4 Green Pond Road, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
