Daisy troop visits Lakeland Bank

VERNON — Girl Scout Daisy Troop #96608, led by Vicki Ziffer and Beckie Sajban of the Vernon Township Service Unit, visited the Lakeland Bank in Franklin on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

The Daisy troop is earning one of their Financial Literacy badges.

Karen McDougal, branch manager and staff lead the girls on a tour around the bank and talked about the different types of coins, dollars and their value. They also learned about making deposits and how to withdraw money at the bank.

Each girl brought their own piggy bank coins and were able to use the change machine and turn their coins into dollars.
