K.E.E.P., Inc,, in cooperations with N.J. Swim, recently featured an assembly on water safety and the practices of safer swimming for L’l Keepers pre-schoolers.

“We welcome the opportunity to bring water safety awareness to pre-schoolers," Chief Executive Officer said while noting that drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children under the age of 5 in the US today. "Accidental drowning is 100 percent preventable but we must develop water savvy children.”

The children participated in a fun, interactive session that focused on a developmentally appropriate approach to water safety through the use of storyboards and met Sammy Starfish.

Children learned the importance of wearing life jackets and had an opportunity to try some on because “Don’t just pack it, wear your jacket!” is key.
