VTHS thespians receive superior ratings at Thesfest

VERNON — The Vernon Township High School Theater Department competed in the annual Thesfest, competing against other thespian society members throughout the state in categories ranging from Musical Theatre solo and group to Tech Theatre Olympics.
VTHS students were awarded with 14 superior medals in the following categories: Musical Theatre Solo — Emily Moreno and Skylar Salamone; Group Musical Theatre — Dominick Gonzalez, Cassie Roeloffs, and Skylar Salamone; Comedic Monologue — Dominick Gonzalez; Dramatic Monologue — Dominick Gonzalez, Matt Losco, and Cassie Roeloffs; Tech Olympics — Madison Alnemy, Alex Beltran, Kristen Flaherty, Cassie Roeloffs, and Ryan Weber; Best Supporting Actress 3rd place — Emily Moreno; Duet Dramatic Scene — Dominick Gonzalez and Skylar Salamone; Makeup Application — Michael Tlatelpa.
The awards were garnered under the direction of theater teacher Lindsay McAloney.
