Sussex Antlers have new leaders

SUSSEX — Sussex Antlers #5 recently held its installation of officer for the 2016-2017 upcoming fraternal year. Installed this year are, from left, Kaitlyn Butler, third vice president; Luna Sandersen, inner guard; Emily Wyer, sargent at arms; Joshua Shone, president; Andrew Lang, chaplain; Alexis Garrity, second vice president; and Lauren Shone, first vice president. Not pictured are Hailey Szabo, secretary/treasurer; Gaylyn Thatcher, trustee; and Rebecca Weilbaecher, trustee.
The Antlers have the same main focuses as the Elks, which include working with special needs children, veterans services, youth activities and drug awareness for the community.
Sussex Lodge chartered Antler Lodge 5 in September, 2005. Any interested 12- to 20-year-old young people are welcome to complete their application for membership.
