Pamela Willard, president of the Sussex County Association of Realtors, recently announced the association's 5th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Newton Country Club.
“This event is open to the public and we have a great program planned," Willard said. "It is our annual fund raising event and this year partial proceeds will be given to the Newton Medical Center for Brest Health. We have been very appreciative of the publics’ past support and look forward to another great year in 2016. It is our hope to see all participants wearing ‘pink’ to demonstrate their support of the American Cancer Society, Brest Cancer Awareness month."
Lisa Vlooswyck, Canada's reigning seven-time long ball champion will be the special guest instructor. She will put on a 45-minute driving exhibition and will also tee it up with all players.
The cost for the event is $185 per golfer and each participant will receive a complimentary goody bag, lunch, dinner, reception, beverages, awards and prizes, and much more. Awards presented will be closest to the pin, longest drive, and hole-in-one. Some lucky player might even win a brand new car! A tricky tray is planned as well as a 50/50 raffle prize.
The tournament will start off with registration at 9:30 am, and the driving demonstration following at 10:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. Lunch will immediately follow the demonstration and a shot gun start will commence at 1 p.m. Reception and dinner will follow the tournament starting at 6 p.m.
