    March 18
    Tyler Demouth, 19, of Hopatcong was sentenced to 2 years of porbation, credit for time served (88) days, complete anger management and DECIDE (early dismissal — 6 months early).
    He pleaded guilty on March 18, 2016, to a count of aggravated assault with bodily injury, a third-degree crime.
    April 11
    Michael Ruggiero, 58, of Warwick, N.Y., pleaded guilty to two counts of credit card theft, fourth-degree crimes.
    Sentencing is scheduled for May 13.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking two individual’s credit cards from a gym locker room and thereafter making fraudulent purchases with the cards.
    The case was investigated by Cpl. D. Young and Ptl. S. Gentle of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Katherine Salerno, 32, of Newton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crirme, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a fourth-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for June 10.
    On Sept. 26, 2015, she was stopped for a motor vehicle offense. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of heroin and Lyrica.
    The case was investigated by Patrolman DeWald of the Byram Township Police Department.
    James Dunnigan, 47, of Newton pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license for a second or subsequent driving while intoxicated conviction, a crime of the foruth degree. He also pleaded guilty to several motor vehicle violations, including DWI and driving while uninsured and driving an unregistered vehicle.
    Sentencing is scheduled for June 10.
    The defendant admitted he was driving with a suspended license for a second or subsequent DWI conviction and was also driving while intoxicated when he was pulled over by Hopatcong Police in 2015.
    April 13
    Elisha Smolinski, 21, of Wantage pleaded guilty to one count of making terroristic threats, a third-degree offense.
    April 14
    Dominick Kopec, 22, of Ridgefield, was indicted on charges of burglary, a third-degree crime, and theft, a third-degree crime.
    The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next 5 weeks.
    Anthony J. Cinque, 19, of Ridgefield was indicted on charges of burglary, a third-degree crime, and theft, a third-degree crime.
    The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next 5 weeks.
    April 15
    Michael Decker-Sanchez, 36, of Newton was sentenced to 3 years of probation, psychiatric evaluation, DECIDE or other anger management program, $50 VCCA, $75 SNSF, $30 LEOTEF, Monthly Supervision fee of $5 per month and a $2 transaction fee.
    He pleaded guilty on Feb. 16, 2016, to one count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a fourth-degree crime.
    Mark Forlenza, 45, of Franklin was sentenced to 5 years of probation with 180 days of home detention.
    He must submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations including complying with methadone treatment, and he must submit a DNA sample at his own expense. He was ordered to obtain and maintain gainful employment and to pay fines and fees of $1,205.
    He pleaded guilty on March 7, 2016, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    On July 18, 2015, a pedestrian found a prescription container bearing Forlenza’s address on the prescription label. The defendant admitted that the bottle and the seven packets of heroin contained therein belonged to him.
