High Point Regional High School junior Kaitlyn DeGroot has been selected to participate in the Governor's School of Engineering and Technology at the Rutgers University School of Engineering over the summer.
For four weeks, she will spend four weeks engineering and technology, and will take four academic classes, completing an intensive research and/or design project in a group of 3-5students, going on site visits to local corporations and meeting equally talented peers and professionals from across the state.
New Jersey high schools nominate their very best students, and only 20 percent are selected from that elite pool of applicants for this program.
