Spring programs planned at libraries

    There is a lot to do in May through the Sussex County Library System.
    Children ages 5-10 are invited to practice their reading skills during Read-to-a-Dog programs at the Dennis Branch in Newton at 5:30 p.m. on May 2, the Main Library on May 10 at 6 p.m. and the Franklin Branch on May 18 at 3:30 p.m.
    The whole family is invited to the Louise Childs Branch in Hopatcong on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. to Meet the Puppies from the 4H Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Project.
    Many popular programs continue their monthly meetings in May. LEGO Club meets May 21 at 10 a.m. at Main Library, May 23 at 3:30 p.m. at Dennis Branch and May 27 at 3:30 p.m. in Franklin. Now open to kids in first grade and older, Minecraft Club meets May 3 and 10 at 4:00 p.m. at the Louise Childs Branch, and 11:00 a.m. on May 7 at Main Library. American Girl Club continues at Louise Childs with a special mother/daughter tea party on May 14 at 10 a.m.
    Adult program include yoga every Wednesday and most Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. at Main Library, a variety of book clubs, and a new Advice for Your Device program being held the second Monday of every month at the Dennis Branch at 6 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about pairing your smart phone, tablet or computer with the library’s e-content which now includes books, audiobooks, music and magazines.
