Joyce Ellen Conrad

Joyce Ellen Conrad, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at her residence. Born and raised in Elizabeth to the late Edwin and Ann (Hayes) Kosten, Mrs. Conrad had lived in Elizabeth until moving to Sussex County in 1999. She had been a Registered Nurse and retired from the former St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs. Conrad was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg and the Wantage Grange. She was a true animal lover and especially had a love for cats. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Conrad on January 13, 1999. Mrs. Conrad is survived by her four sons, Edward Conrad of Wantage, Robert Conrad of Wantage, David Conrad of Clark, and Daniel Conrad of Wantage; her sister, Ginny Bast of Freehold; her first cousin, Ellen Rast of Old Bridge; and her two grandchildren, Michael and Paige. Funeral services were at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation services will be held at the convenience of the family.
