Our Lady of Fatima Church is planning several Celebrate Fatima events over the course from May until October
In 1917, at Fatima in Portugal, a private revelation was given to three young children by God. The message was for the children to pray and do acts of mortification for the conversion of sinners and for the end of World War I.
That year, the person of Mary is said to have appeared to the children once a month from May through October at the Cova Da Iria, which is two kilometers from Fatima. The apparitions were usually on the 13th day of the month about noontime.
Annually, Our Lady of Fatima Church sponsors activities which commemorate these 1917 apparitions.
Celebrate Fatima activities are free and available to adults and children. They are spiritual and can benefit individuals, families and the local community. For more information, call 973-764-4457 or email at olfatima@warwick.net.
