Sportsmen Clubs plan fishing derby

AUGUSTA — The Sussex County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs will have its annual Children’s Fishing Derby to Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 9 a.m. until noon.
Children 15 years of age or younger are welcome to enter the Derby. Derby participants should provide their own fishing tackle. The Federation will provide worms. Prizes will be awarded. Children 15 years of age and younger do not require a fishing license. This year, it is again requested that participants bring a can of food for the “NORWESCAP” food program.
Additionally, this year any monetary donations would also be appreciated. The normal NJ Fishing Regulations will be observed.
The Derby will be held at the pond within the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show Grounds. The pond is conveniently located off of Plains Road in Augusta, N.J. For further information please call (973) 697-0217.
